Iron Brew is the new real ale, brewed by Milk Street Brewery, especially for the Frome Festival celebrations of the life and works of Benjamin Baker.
Following a project initiated by Rook Lane Arts, the Frome Festival is, this year, celebrating the life and work of Sir Benjamin Baker, who was born in Frome, in 1840 and became one of the great engineers of his age - the Forth Bridge and the Aswan Dam being amongst his many accomplishments.
TASTING NOTES FOR IRON BREW ABV 4.1%
The Iron Brew is a full bodied amber ale with hops to balance in the taste and in the rounded bittersweet finish. Brewed to celebrate the visionary genius of the Frome engineer. An industrial masterpiece.
Don’t miss out on a chance to sample the Iron brew at the public launch of Bridging the World at Rook Lane Chapel on Saturday 20 June with Drum West. This is the focal point of a Midsummer Weekend to include; on Friday 19 June Pluck cabaret an extraordinary blend of theatre, cabaret and music and on Sunday 21 June the Berkely Ensemble a musical feast from an outstanding eight piece ensemble. A great start in the series of celebrations of the life and achievements of visionary Frome Engineer Benjamin Baker.
